Windowseat — Support

Windowseat tracks your flight on your watch, even in airplane mode. Load the flight on the ground, and in the air it works from the clock, the barometer and an optional GPS fix.

Need help or found a bug?
Email helloizzylogic@gmail.com with your flight number, date and watch model. On Apple Watch you can also send feedback from TestFlight.

Getting started

Common questions

Does it really work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Once the flight is loaded, time to landing and distance flown come from the clock and the watch's barometer, which follows the cabin pressure through climb, cruise and descent. If Wi-Fi appears, Windowseat refreshes the times by itself.

When should I tap GPS?

Whenever you like, ideally with the watch near the window. One fix pins your real position on the route and measures your ground speed. GPS is only used when you tap it.

My ETA looks off.

Early in the flight the ETA is based on the schedule and typical speeds. It tightens once you're in cruise, again when descent begins, and immediately after a GPS fix.

Can I find a flight that has already departed?

Yes. The results list shows each leg with its departure time, so pick the one you're on, for example today's rather than yesterday's.

Where's my logbook?

Every flight is saved when you land. Open the logbook from the menu to see your flights and totals for hours, kilometres and countries flown over.

Is my location shared?

No. GPS fixes and pressure readings stay on the watch. Only the flight number and date are sent when you look up a flight. See the privacy policy.
